EDF wanted to launch a new end-to-end electric vehicle offering - a car lease, a charger and a tariff for charging at home.
For a very functional utility brand, that’s quite a creative challenge! How do we get people to pay attention to a brand they’re either indifferent to, or actively dislike?
We started with looking at what content was available for people about EVs (not a lot) and gathered lots of search data to see what people wanted to know and what the myths around EVs were (plenty!)
Our answer was the award-winning Electric Adventures – a 6-part film influencer-led series about UK road trips in electric vehicles.
I was creative lead throughout the project, making sure we were telling compelling stories people would want to watch.
I designed the campaign’s content ecosystem and led on creative oversight. From developing the series, choosing the talent, writing the stories and scripts, designing content for EDF’s EV pages, creating assets for the the social media campaign, and overseeing the film shoots – which was the most fun!
The series has over 2 million views, and won Best Use of Video at the Influencer Marketing Awards 2020.
