Howz is smart home tech that helps older people live independently for longer. They needed a creative idea to launch and create awareness for this awesome product.

To show how precious independence is, and why it’s worth preserving and protecting, our creative answer was to get real people to share their personal stories of independence from throughout their life. We cast author and activist Mother Pukka and her Mum, as well as some lovely people with good stories to share the times when they felt truly independent and the times when it was taken away and how that felt.

We wanted the film to feel open, and honest, with a mixture of young and older people sharing stories from both perspectives to celebrate both the highs and lows of real people’s experiences. It revealed how this issue can effect all of us, at any time in our lives, but when it does it’s perfectly okay to rely on others for help and support.

I was creative lead on the campaign, from developing a creative platform, to designing the social media plan, to interviewing the cast for the film. It was a rewarding and super fun project!
